This is an amazing light!

Sooo.. First off, this is a review on the NEIKO 40464A Cordless LED Work Light that is rated for 350 lumens.I don't know if I missed something somewhere, but the light I received came with paperwork that claimed to have a High and Low mode rated for 1000/500 lumens? Which appears to be more accurate than the advertised listing lol. This light is very bright, (like shockingly bright) and definitely has 2 light settings.I picked the "350 lumen" work light because I like the size, style and simple on/off switch. I really don't like lights with a bunch of buttons/modes and overly complicated operation. Just wanted on and off lol. But turns out, this light has a high/low setting. Its a simple rocker switch that you press once for high and again for low. This was actually a pleasant surprise, because the low setting alone is brighter than I was ever expecting the light to be in the first place.. It's awesomeThe light feels solid. The back of the light housing is metal. The hook/hangers work well. The magnet is more than strong enough for what I have used. On high setting, the light runs continuously for nearly 2.5 hours before the battery dies. I have not tested how long low setting will last. I would imagine a fair bit longer.. It will get a little warm when running for longer periods, but not hot by any means.Overall, the light is way better than I could have imagined. My expectations were definitely exceeded lol. Its cheap, solid and super bright.. I have zero issues or complaints. I have ordered 2 moreThe flashlight has been well used at the time of review.

I bought this light because we recently opened up a shop and we work on lots of heavy duty equipment but yesterday this thing proved its worth; we were working underneath a hazmat trailer in around 15 degree outside weather for about 4 hours and thank God that I got the idea to bring this light around because we only had a small handheld/magnetic light to shine on the work but it just wasn't able to keep up. I brought it out, extended it to hook onto the frame of the trailer and we had great lighting. We used the LOW setting to make the battery last and the light kept pace very well. If you work on vehicles a lot (especially underneath the hood) and just can't get the lighting you want with other lights, you should try this out 🙌 I'm definitely glad I invested. Now we'll need like 3 more of these hahaha

I have the older version of the Neiko under hood light, AND this new version. The newer style bracket is much nicer IMO. The newer light is a bit slimmer and lower profile. They are hands down a GREAT purchase. The light output in amazing. The lights themselves built very well. They will actually flex a bit, so a drop or a hit will not crack or break anything. The ONLY down side is the charger. This light WILL work while its plugged in also, not just cordless - but the charger and cord are those cheap flimsy Chinese models like you’d expect for a cheap cell phone. It would be nice if the cord and charger were a bit more commercial in quality. Something that could withstand being on the floor with real insulation. But aside from that, there is no “con” for the light itself in my eyes - not for this price. If you are wondering if its worth it, the answer is YES. Buy it.I also have the newer and older hand held Neiko inspection lights. Those are honestly THE BEST you will find for the $$ IMO also. I own DOZENS of cordless lights, many from much more expensive cordless platforms. The Neiko’s are still my favorite.

I've got a Matco LED COB shop light I've been using now for approx 2-yrs daily as a professional auto technician. This Neiko LED COD shop light appears to be very similar to my Matco, it wouldn't surprise me if Neiko doesn't make them for Matco (just an assumption). I will say the Matco seems to be built a bit more rugged but it also cost nealy five times more than the Neiko. I've only used this Neiko light for a couple days, so far but it seems to be a very good light for the money. In my opinion the only fuction I'm not too fond of is the on/ off switch design. Basically it's a spring loaded type switch that requires you to cycle the switch multiple times through all the light's brittlenesses before reaching the off fuction.

Dude. Awesome light. The magnet is strong and light - I didn't think it was that strong, based on how heavy it felt. Shows how much I know about magnets. I was going to use the included hooks to hand it from the hood, but that magnet practically jumped out of my hand and latched on to the hood. The light floods out of this thing. Wouldn't think it given how small it is. Shows how much I know about lights. Not sure about battery life, but I used this for approx. 1.5 hours. So that's not helpful. But it's an LED light so I'm assuming minimal power usage, and the battery should last long. As an aside, when plugged in for charging, there's a colored LED light telling you it's charging or that the charge is full, that is bright enough to serve as a night light. Double bonus I guess? The first attached picture is with the garage light on, the second with it off. As you can see, it's super bright, and completely illuminates an engine bay. 5/7 would buy again.

Day 1, this thing apparently comes 50% charged, and it took about 3 hours to get a green light for full charge. So that stinks, but at least there is a overcharge protector built in. When i tell you this thing is bright, you better believe me. It lit up half of my back yard. Crazy! It's going to be amazing using this under the car. It seems extra heavy duty. Hopefully this thing holds up over time. The pictures are in order from brightest setting, down to the light being turned off.Update - 07/24/2020: this is STILL the best light in the world. It has been used in a crazy full home renovation, used to work on a 100 different cars, and every other possible handy use for a light. It's amazing. I would suggest this to everyone and anyone. It has never does on me once, and I tend to use this for hours at a time. It's hands down, amazing.

Best work light I have used so far! The black color scheme can blend in with the surrounding area you're working on. I use this light performing automotive repairs. When I thought I lost the Neiko work light I went and got a bright green light identical to it off of the Matco tool truck for 10 or 15 dollars more. The green light is by Monster and they are pretty much the SAME thing. Not sure who rebranded this light. The Monster doesn't have a magnetic base like the Neiko both take the same charger as well. Bottom line is, it's a great work light: good charge when fully charged (NO indicator) pretty fast charge when charging. Strong construction, pretty strong magnetic base (Neiko) brighter than other work lights I've used. It would be nice to see this light in a bright color scheme to help it stand out more. Like the Monster so you can spot it easier when working on cars so it doesn't end up potentially leaving in customer vehicles!

I’ve been using this for quite some time and I will say it’s way better than snap ons hood light. I’ve compared it to my buddies and the brightness is better. It’s pretty durable, I’ve dropped it a few times and it’s holding up. I’d choose this over any magnetic hood light.

I can't imagine living without this! Feels & operates like a tool that would be much more expensive. Two brightness levels, multiple ways to position the light for different applications, including a magnetic clamp & a detachable hook similar to the swivel hanging hook on the top. The power switch is a high quality rocker switch that's in a protected inset in the bottom of the handle with the charging port. I would like there to be a 6 Star Category for SUPERIOR Products like this 💚

Very sturdy well built light. The 3 light settings are nice if I know it’s going to be on for an extended period of time so the battery lasts longer. Bought a second one after the first impressed me enough. They get used and abused every day for my job. Holding up well.

Wonderful and a must have item to light up what need to be seen

I’ve been a pro detailer for almost 20 years and had several of these style lights. This one tops them all in ALL areas. Battery life on highest setting is great and the newly designed LED lights are top notch. My fav is how far it expands for all types of vehicles. One of my fav tools.

It light up the area really well but the magnet should be a little more stronger .

Good quality light bar, used it on my Mazda cx5 for general maintenance, good light coverage and damage free mounting.

Nice and bright two settings

Attaches perfectly when working on my project car. Lights well in hard to see areas. I also light the fact that it's rechargeable which means there's one less cable in the way!
