Handy tool for a jewelry piece one might be working on. Great for use while soldering. My only complaint is it can tip over easily.

This works decently well for holding small things like wire and components for soldering. However, it definitely could use some more heft in the base to keep things from walking around. I ended up taking a small block of scrap aluminum and machining it to overcome this problem. I also added some stick-on rubber feet. These modifications transformed it from "meh" into a bench item that I use reasonably often. I can't comment on the magnifying glass, as I have a bench magnifier that I use instead.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have other neiko tools and was happy with the quality so went with the neiko soldering iron. Ease of use:Insanely easy to use. 12 second heat up time. I wish the led lit up when it was charging and finished charging. If it did that it would be perfect. Charge time is 3 hrs and will run for 2 hours straight. Heat level:More than enough heat for 60/40 flux core .032 in solder. Accessories:Came with a stand, a bit of solder, cellulose sponge, and a surprisingly heavy stand. Comfort:Very comfortable in the handOverall very happy with this soldering iron. I still prefer my weller for heavier duty stuff but light duty electrical soldering this thing works a treat.
I was looking for an easy-to-use engraver to label my water bottle, headphone case, Kindle, and other items. This tool has worked well on plastics, metals, and wood, delivering great results. You can see in the picture where I wrote "test."While it's not as powerful as a Dremel (which I also like), it offers a level of finesse that allows me to engrave fine, small text without damaging the item. Overall, it works very well for my needs, though I’m not sure if I’m using it to its full capacity.The engraver comes with a spare head, an Allen key to lock the head, and templates that could be useful if needed. For the price, it's a great tool!

I bought this because I had some very fiddley soldering I needed to do and thought a third hand would be useful. These worked OK but a few things would have made it more useful. The base is not heavy enough to stay seated flat. I was working on a small component and the base kept tipping over when I went to place the soldering iron on the piece. You need to align the piece to be directly over the base so that your pressing down directly over the base which is not easy or convenient to do. The other issue I have are some of the finger screws are just too small to move by hand. You basically need to get a pair of pliers to turn the screw to make adjustments. It's a little bit of a pain. I think when I need to use this again, I will place in my vise to keep everything from moving.
Joints are a little loose and tends to topple if you work with a wire. Magnifying glass isn’t very useful.
Good for holding wires and metal
I was always struggling to hold two wires in place to join them by soldering. I always needed two more hands, the wife was always fussing about holding wires for me. This little gadget was a sanity saver. Further, being retired and having older eyes these days the magnifier was an added hoot. Holds wires together or small boards while helping me see what I'm working on. The adjustable joints tighten pretty good keeping the arms where you put them. The base is heavy enough to hold small items. A large board might tip the stand but not got to anything that large yet. A table clamp might steady the stand even further. Wish I had gotten one of these long ago. Recommended for those that do a lot of soldering and need four hands.
Very handy little device! I use it when doing stained glass, an extra "hand" comes in handy!
If your soldering small wires free hand this will help you. This will hold it and the magnifier is great so you can see how the solder joint is before taking it off.
Tool works great. My only complaint is the provided hex tool. It was round on both ends. You will need your own.
I’ve been using this for painting miniatures and it is super helpful. Not much else to add other than the weight in the base helps keep it in place.
For building drones or any type of soldering, this thing simply makes life easier

Robust, heavy-duty clips and supporting structure. Thios unit is heavy enough to be used in various places for light duty soldering. I clamped mine to the workbench for soldering on some heavier components to prevent movement or tipping. A very valuable helper for more than just soldering, form instance holding two thin pieces of wood together while the glue dries. An excellent value for the price!
